Q&T HI-TECH POLYMER and LEONHARD KURZ sign strategic Cooperation Agreement
Integrating KINEGRAM® Security Technology into Q&T’s Polymer Banknote Substrate
Q&T Hi-Tech Polymer Co., Ltd. (Q&T) and LEONHARD KURZ Stiftung & Co. KG (KURZ) have signed a Project Development Cooperation Agreement for the integration of KINEGRAM® security features into Q&T’s polymer banknote substrate.
The partnership combines Q&T’s advanced polymer substrate platform with KURZ’s KINEGRAM® technology to develop embedded security features integrated directly within the banknote structure. Together, the companies will further develop the technology, create new application concepts, and bring the solution to the banknote market.
This collaboration marks the first exclusive technology partnership between a polymer banknote substrate manufacturer and KURZ, creating new opportunities for central banks seeking highly secure and durable next-generation banknotes.
Peter Mühlfelder, Executive Senior Vice President and Member of the Management Board of LEONHARD KURZ Stiftung & Co. KG, commented: “We are confident this collaboration will produce a new generation of banknotes that are safer, more durable, and more resistant to counterfeiting for central banks around the world.”
