KURZ's Business Area Security is delighted to announce that Mr Gerben van Wijk has joined the KURZ Banknote Security Team as Head of Business Area Security in November 2023. He will look after all sales and marketing activities for the banknote business and will be responsible for the global and technological strategy in this field. In this capacity, Mr van Wijk will succeed Mr Peter Mühlfelder, who has held the position for the recent years.

Mr van Wijk brings in a wealth of industry experience. Before joining KURZ, he last held the position of Sales and Marketing Director at Luminescence Sun Chemical Security and before that marketing manager at KBBS.

For his part, Peter Mühlfelder will assume the role of Executive Senior Vice President for the Business Area Security, which includes the ID document business of OVD Kinegram AG, the card business and the commercial business of KURZ and SCRIBOS.  Mr Mühlfelder is replacing Mr Werner Adel, who will retire from his position end of January 2024.

Mr Adel’s retirement comes after a 40-year tenure with KURZ. Throughout his career, his tireless commitment and dedication have played a key role in shaping KURZ’s success in the fields of banknote security, document protection and brand and tax stamp security.
