Regional 'Best New Banknote 2023' Award with KINEGRAM COLORS®
The HSP Regional Banknote of the Year Awards 2023 were presented last week in Abu Dhabi at the High Security Printing (HSP) EMEA conference.
They honor outstanding achievement in the design, technical sophistication, security and innovation of EMEA Banknotes in three categories: Best New Series, Best New Banknote, and Best New Commemorative Banknote.
KURZ congratulates the Central Bank of the United Arab Emirates for winning the Award in the category 'Best New Banknote' for their new 1,000 AED banknote. KURZ is honored and proud to contribute a principal security element to the 1,000 AED notes which are protected with a partially metallized KINEGRAM COLORS® foil stripe.
With the award-winning KINEGRAM COLORS® technology, security foils for banknotes can be enhanced with multiple colors. Within each multi-colored feature, the colors are positioned in perfect register to the partial metallization. Adding the fact that color is the primary characteristic that most people remember about objects, the use of colorful features for banknotes maximizes the chance that a forged note will be easily detected. Moreover, the combination of individual optical effects with pronounced colors and fine-line designs is an additional way of making the feature extremely safe against counterfeiting.
