Targeting Cash Does Not Stop Crime
Fuerth/Germany, 12/09/2017: The white paper 'Keeping Cash', put together by Dr. Ursula Dalinghaus, scholar from the Institute for Money, Technology & Financial Inclusion (IMTFI) at the University of California, Irvine (UCI), has been published on the Cash Matters website.
The paper is the most comprehensive approach to the issue of cash and criminal or terrorist activities to date. It clearly proves that there is little to no evidence that eliminating high-denomination banknotes or restricting cash payments will prevent crime or terrorism.
